YETS (Youth Empowerment Through Sports) is a dedicated non-profit organization in Tanzania focused on empowering young people through sports, education, and socio-economic programs. We believe every youth has untapped potential that can be unlocked with the right tools and opportunities. Guided by core values of respect, determination, and excellence, we inspire personal growth, nurture talents, and foster leadership skills to create a generation capable of transforming their communities and building brighter futures.

YETS is officially registered in Tanzania as a non-profit organization under registration number NGO/R/4295. This legal recognition underscores our commitment to serving the youth and communities of Tanzania with integrity and professionalism. Operating within the framework of Tanzanian laws, YETS collaborates with local and international stakeholders to deliver impactful programs that address pressing socio-economic challenges. Our registration formalizes our vision of creating lasting change and building a brighter future for young people across the nation.

Our Story

The idea of YETS was born from a deep desire to address the challenges faced by youth in underprivileged communities, such as poverty, lack of access to quality education, and limited extracurricular activities. Recognizing the power of sports to develop cognitive and social skills, we created a platform to combine athletics with mentorship, education, and socio-economic empowerment. Our general objective is to unlock the potential of young people, reduce crime, and provide pathways for sustainable growth by fostering a sense of purpose and self-belief among youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.

To achieve our objectives, YETS employs a multi-faceted approach that integrates sports development, education support, and socio-economic empowerment. We organize sports programs to nurture talent, provide scholarships and mentorship to improve education access, and equip youth with entrepreneurial and life skills to foster independence and resilience. Through partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and corporate sponsors, we expand our reach, improve infrastructure, and sustain our programs. By continuously assessing community needs and measuring program impact, we ensure our strategies remain effective, adaptive, and aligned with the evolving challenges faced by the youth we serve.
